Step into some of Tuscany’s most scenic scenery and a vacation you will never forget. Surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Val d’Orcia, La Rosellana enjoys stunning views over the valley and its hill towns: Pienza, Montalcino, Radicofani and San Quirico.
La Rosellana is a large stone farmhouse which was recently restored to the highest standard by a well known Italian interior designer. Breathtaking contemporary design meets traditional materials such as wood and hand hewn stone. Stone terrazzo floors with under-floor heating, saturated colourings on the walls and measure made contemporary furniture blend in well with the original large rooms and traditional features of the property. High tech equipment such as wifi, hifi stereo system have been added, invisible to the eye. The exceptional kitchen is equipped with a large oven and double sized fridge. Bathrooms are all clad in natural local stone.
On the ground floor the kitchen, dining room, living room and study flow into each other and open up onto a patio with table and chairs. The upper floor is reached over two outdoor stairs. The annex has 3 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms as well as a gym, a bar and small extra kitchen. There are a total of 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. A 19th person could sleep either in the Master studio (study room on the ground floor), or on the sofa (single occupancy) in the first floor sitting room of the main house.
Over 10.000 square feet of terraces with pergolas, patios and roofed dining areas surround the villa, and from here guests can enjoy a stupendous, 360 degree view of the surrounding valley. In the garden there is a panoramic heated swimming pool, while on the west side of the villa there is a hot tub overlooking the valley - at the end of the day, relax and enjoy the sunset from the hot tub.
The vegetable garden is not only a decorative feature, it also produces the best seasonal produce.

The Val d’Orcia is an enchanting and miraculously unspoilt valley in southern Tuscany, listed as UNESCO world heritage in 2004: hills outlined by endless rows of cypress trees, majestic castles, thermal spa towns, tiny medieval villages surrounded by olive groves and wine cellars everywhere full of oak and chestnut casks in which to age world class wine.
The village of Montalcino, home to the famous Brunello di Montalcino stands hilltop covered almost entirely with vineyards and at its centre signature examples of Medieval architecture: the Palazzo dei Priori and the wonderful Rocca fortress, built circa XIV century.
Pienza, not far from the estate, has been declared “Heritage of Mankind” by Unseco and is considered to be the “symbol city” of the Italian Renaissance (as well as famous for its wonderful pecorino cheese).
Montepulciano, in this same area is another charming village, known as the pearl of the 16th century and renowned for the production of wines such as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Hot springs and spas: The closest spa is in Bagni San Filippo, 20 minutes by car. Other spas are in Chianciano Terme, a famous thermal spa town that dates back to Roman times, 20 minutes by car.
Tennis courts are in Chianciano Terme, 20 minutes by car.
Horseback riding facilities are in San Casciano dei Bagni, 40 minutes by car.
The closest city is Chiusi, 25 minutes by car.
Perugia, Siena and Assisi, 1 hour by car; Florence, 1 hour and 30 minutes by car. Pisa and Rome, 2 hours by car.
Train station: Florence and Rome can be reached by train in one and a half hours from the nearby train station at Chiusi.
Outlets: "Fashionistas" will be able to indulge their passion, especially in the famous Prada factory store, located on the road to Florence.

EXTRAS
- Pool heating (if required): If a higher temperature than the level provided by solar panel heating system is requested dedicated boilers can be switched on. Extra heating through dedicated boilers will be charged following real propane consumption at actual market price.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
EUR 2500, preferably through credit card pre-authorisation held by the agency. It will be returned 2 weeks after departure subject to deduction for damage caused and/or payment for additional services.
