Summer on the beach
Villa Roccamarina is a low built modern family villa which lies within an exclusive compound, just 200 meters from a sandy beach on the southern Tuscan coast and 5 minute drive from the fishing village of Castiglion della Pescaia.
The property is immersed in the exclusive private club of Roccamare, a fully fenced compound with guarded entrance where Italy’s elite likes to meet for the summer. Roccamare has one of the most beautiful beaches in Tuscany. The coast has been awarded the blue flag for many years, the highest accolade for clean water. Each has its own private beach hut with table and chairs as well a lockable beach cabana. The white sandy beach is only accessible to the villa owners and their guests. It is a heavenly safe place for families with children.
The villa is surrounded by a large garden with pool surrounded by hedges and planted with umbrella pines and other Mediterranean flora. The villas was designed to cater to a large family with pool, dining table and outdoor barbecue.
The building itself is on two levels: on the ground floor there is a modern and stylish living room with French windows into the garden, the sunny kitchen and 4 air-conditioned bedrooms overlooking the garden, each with en suite bathroom. On the lower ground floor there are 3 further bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The housekeeper, who has worked for the owners for more than 20 years, lives in the basement. He occupies one bedroom with en suite bathroom. His tasks are the following: welcome guests and show them the house, the pool and the beach; each morning take the sunbeds to the beach and in the evenings bring them back to the villa; preparation of breakfast 5 days a week Monday to Friday (ingredients not included); cleaning of the villa, garden and the pool.

If you're looking for a vacation filled with fun, relax and nature, Tuscan treasure Castiglione della Pescaia is a sure guarantee to finding all that and more. This scenic seaside destination is located in the Grosseto area of southern Tuscany, vaunting splendid views of Elba and Giglio islands (not too far from the Argentario promontory). Whatever you're looking for, this town has it all: wild landscapes, unspoiled scenery and excellent food and wine. In Castiglione della Pescaia you will find an excellent supermarket and many specialized shops.
The name Pescaia indicates its history as an old fishing village (in Italian, pescare means fishing). The town dates to Roman times (Salebrone) and was later inhabited by Umbrians and Etruscans, as it was considered an ideal location due to the lake gracing the area (now the Diaccia Botrona marsh), which provided essential food and goods.
The WWF Maremma National Park: The Park encompasses seven towers, the remains of an abbey and twenty six grottoes. In summer the National Park can only be visited accompanied by a guide. Visits by night from 8 to 11 pm are a special thrill.
The Etruscans: a trip through what was known as Etruria is one of the most interesting archaeological excursions in Italy. Tarquinia and Tuscania boast worldwide famous archeological excavations which should not be missed.
Monte Argentario, a peninsula connected with the mainland by three dams. The Monte Argentario is known for its fine coastline, rich mediterranean vegetation and the two jet set harbours Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano.
The Tarot-Garden of Niki de Saint-Phalle, twenty two giant sculptures inspired by the figures of the magic tarot cards. Children love it!
The islands and hiring a boat: In Porto Santo Stefano, you can hire a boat which will take you to the islands of Giglio and Giannutri off the Tuscan coast. Giglio has a charming main village and castle, and many creeks hidden between the cliffs. Giannutri, its bare coastline dominated by the ruins of a Roman villa overlooking the sea, recalls some of the Greek islands, which deep-sea divers can look for sunken Roman galeons on the sea bed.
The hot springs of Saturnia: Tuscany is famous for its hot springs. Saturnia, is the most spectacular, with hot waterfalls in the middle of nature. In summer one might prefer coming here in the evening or even better, at night.
Sports: There are two golf courses in the area. Tennis, kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, diving, hiking, biking, horse back riding, hot spas Venturina.

The rental includes a domestic servant who cleans and maintains the house (daily break 13:00–16:30): The housekeeper, who has worked for the owners for more than 20 years, lives in the basement. He occupies one bedroom with en suite bathroom. His tasks are the following:

- Daily cleaning of villa
- Preparation of breakfast (ingredients not included)

- After-dinner kitchen cleanup (until 21:30)

- Final cleaning: EUR 500
- City tax: EUR 0,50 per night for a maximum of 7 nights (subject to change)
SECURITY DEPOSIT
EUR 2000 to be paid with the balance. It will be returned 2 weeks after departure subject to deduction for damage caused and/or payment for additional services.
