The Italian Riviera offers splendid natural beauty, a temperate climate and cultural, historical and recreational interest. Rapallo is at the start of the road that leads to Portofino.

Elegant resorts, regattas, beach-going, port facilities, water activities of all kinds and night-life make this region around Portofino and S. Margherita a rather exclusive environment. This is an ideal base for exploring the entire coast, with its seaside villages, mountains, beaches and sea.

A shuttle service connecting Riviera Apartment with the town is available daily 4 times a day. Trains on the main rail line from Torino to Rome stop in Rapallo. For this reason you can stay here with or without a car. From the Rapallo harbour there are ferry departures to Portofino, S. Margherita and the Cinqueterre. Travel by rail to Rome (5 hrs), Florence (3 hrs), Milan (2 hrs) or Genoa (30 min), on UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites because of its numerous wonderful palazzi. Riviera Apartment is located in a modern condominium on the hill of Rapallo in front of the splendid Portofino peninsula. A ten minutes´ walk leads to the town centre, well-known for its trendy harbour with elegant yachts, relaxed seafood restaurants and designer shops. Yet the apartment is protected from the crowds: it has its private panoramic garden overlooking the Portofino peninsula.

Rapallo has several open water pools on the rocks with access leading into the sea water (stabilimenti balneari). Two of which, the most elegants, are combined with a wellness centre. All of them are approx. a 20 minutes´ walk from the house. You can rent boats (with or without skipper). The next beach is located in S. Margherita, approx. 3 km from the house, and can be reached by bus in a few minutes.

The apartment is spacious and furnished in modern style. It offers lovely views of the sea. The large L-shaped living room with sliding French windows connects to the garden shaded by olive trees and jasmine. It has comfortable sofas, armchairs, a kitchenette and a dining area. The kitchenette is fully appointed with dishwasher, fridge, stove, microwave. An enclosed veranda opens to the garden offering views of the gulf.

There are four bedrooms - one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms (which can be joined, if required) and one single bedroom opening directly to the garden - but the apartment is available for up to six people. There are three bathrooms, two with tub and a small one with shower (this last bathroom is very simple). The apartment has a telephone and Internet access.

Please note: A shuttle service connecting Riviera Apartment with the town is available daily 4 times a day. For this reason a car is not necessary. The apartment is located up on a hill. From the house to the town of Rapallo it takes 10 minutes walking downhill. Of course, coming uphill it takes more time.

Although the shuttle service is available and although the house is only 10 minutes from the town centre, we highly recommend to rent a car if guests have walking difficulties or heart problems, or if they are elderly people.
