Villa Lago Blu is a beautiful holiday rental located in a tranquil location of the lively town of Laveno, at 15 minutes walking from the ferry launches. It sleeps comfortably up to 10 people in 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Here you will enjoy great views over the blue lake!

The villa has direct access to the water, a private lake shore, a panoramic swimming pool and an extensive garden. On the same estate there is also another accommodation for 4 people, Dependance Lago Blu (also featured in our portfolio), which can be rented separately. The two properties together sleeps up to 14 people. A perfect spot for a large family!

The estate is located directly on the waterfront of Laveno, a lively town on the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore. The property has direct access to the water through its 150 meters private lake shore. (Please note that for the Italian law private beaches can be accessed also by other boats from the lake). Because the estate is situated within the perimeters of the coastal road, at the end of a dead-end lane, the location at the edge of Laveno is very quiet with the most beautiful views and in only 10 minutes walking distance from the centre of Laveno.

On the same property there is also the Dependance Lago Blu. It used to be the house of the guardian, and for this reason it is located just at the entrance of the estate (approx. 60 m from the villa, not towards the panoramic garden and pool side of the villa, but near to the access road); today it is available for rent as well. Guests renting the Dependancei are not allowed to use the pool and do not have access to the beach and to the main part of garden unless the whole estate is rented by the same group of people.

Villa Lago Blu, built in 1930 for a well-known Italian family, is spacious and full of atmosphere. The interiors are Italian classic style with marble tables and decorated wall papers. Most of the furniture is designed and handmade for the villa. Most rooms overlook the lake and the rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the terraces and gardens.

The spacious park-like gardens has old trees and extensive grass lawns. There are a few footpaths to stroll around and enjoy the view from several locations. The views overlooking the green lawns, the blue lake and the snowcapped mountains in the distance are just a feast for the eyes. From the garden a path (about 150 steps of stone) leads through a small wood down to the lake and the rocky beach. Please note that it is a fairly steep path on which people with walking difficulties or elderly people will have difficulty to descend and ascend. The whole park measures 22000 square metres. The large swimming pool (6 x 14 m) is equipped with dive board and has a separate room with shower and toilet. The villa is provided with garden furniture and has ample outdoor parking space.

The house measures 460 square metres and thanks to the lay out also two families will have the opportunity to retire to their part of the villa with sleeping accommodations, to enjoy the necessary privacy in this comfortable holiday residence. Nine bedrooms provide ample sleeping accommodation for 10 people. The six bathrooms are equipped with bathtub or shower, washbasin, toilet and bidet.

First floor
21 steps lead to the first floor. One double bedroom with adjacent bathroom with double sink bathtub, one double bedroom with washbasin, one single bedroom, one bathroom with shower, storage room and stairs to the second floor (this stairs are very narrow - 60 cm). All bedrooms have direct entrance through French doors to two large terraces.

Second floor
One twin bedroom, one double bedroom, two bathrooms with shower, storage room. The decorations of this floor are very simple.

What to do in the region?

The villa is in 15 minutes walking distance from the centre of Laveno. Laveno is a small and relaxed tourist town with most shopping facilities, many restaurants, a promenade and where during the whole year a lot of activities are organised. From here it is possible to catch the ferry boat to the western side of the lake (Stresa, Pallanza etc.) and to the Borromean islands famous for their enchanted beauty. In Laveno you will also find any sort of shops included supermarket, banks, post office and pharmacy. All sorts of water sport are possible, and also within walking distance you can reach the gondola which takes you to the top of the hill (1200 m) against which Laveno is built. It is a very popular location for parapente and delta flying. Cycling is of course possible and there is a riding school in a village nearby. Our charming villa is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday or for several interesting and recommended day trips. Laveno has a railway station, and from here it is possible to reach by train Varese and Milano in less than an hour. Angera with its Borromeo Castle is at 30 minutes drive as well as the romantic Sanctuary of Santa Caterina del Sasso. Arona is 37 km far, while the beautiful Lake Orta is at 65 km, Milano 75 km, Lugano Lake in Switzerland 40 km, Varese 25 km, Como 85 km, Malpensa airport is 35 km far.

The railway station of Laveno Mombello is only about 1.5 km away, and you can easily reach Milano Cadorna from there. Milano Cadorna is located in the centre near the cathedral and best suitable if you want to do shopping. Therefore, this accommodation is well suited if you wish to travel without a car: From Milano Cadorna there is a direct, regular train connection to Laveno, where you can take a taxi for the last 1.5 km to the property. Once on the premises you can make day trips in the region by taxi or by bus.
