Richly decorated...
The apartment measures 100 square metres. It is located on the first floor (US: second floor) and has an elevator and a splendid entrance decorated with frescoes dating back to the 1700s painted on the walls and high ceilings. An archway takes you from the brightly coloured entrance into the modern living room with its white couches. In the living room there is also a dining area with a table for four.
The studio room is connected to the generously-sized and bright kitchen which leads out to a lovely terrace with table. This is a perfect place for dining 'al fresco' during the summer! The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge with freezer, oven, dishwasher. The apartment has a modern air-conditioning system. Due to the frescoes, the AC fans (split) are located in the living room and in the kitchen, but thanks to the power of the Invert Technology, the whole apartment benefits of the chill air.
Despite its first floor (US: second floor) location, the architecture of the surrounding buildings with their private courtyards uses the available light to create a very special atmosphere in keeping with its secluded character. Il Fiorino's guests will enjoy its quiet location.

This lovely apartment is located on the piano nobile of Palazzo Morelli, an ancient 16th-century building , completely restored and situated just behind the beautiful Santa Croce square. The owner of the apartment, a famous photographer and writer, personally furnished and decorated this unique apartment, perfectly combining modern taste and tradition with a touch of high-tech design, as well as incorporating a few hints from the recent past of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, giving this charming apartment a relaxed feeling, despite its outstanding opulent character.
From the entrance a small corridor leads to a studio room. This room as well is completely decorated with frescoes; there is a telephone, fax and stereo. The sofa can be converted into a single sofa bed, suitable for accommodating a guest. Next to the studio there is a bathroom with shower.
The devotion and care of the owner's well-trained eye for aesthetics can be seen in the choice of materials used in the bedroom - the particular bed is a cross between a traditional wooden bed and a most modern futon (queen size bed - cannot be separated). This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom area with a sink and a tub with glass walls. The toilet is located in a separate area with access from the bedroom.
Thanks to its central location bars, restaurants, food stores and other facilities can be reached in just a few minutes on foot, eliminating the need for a car. The Santa Croce square can be reached in 1 minute, the Uffizi Gallery in 10 minutes and a grocery store is but 200 metres away.
